"A killing guide?"

"Correct." Cassien sat down on a nearby log and opened an imaginary book. "Step one." His smile widened. "The pistol in your hand... learn how to hold it without feeling nervous."

Aiysha stared at both, while Siv stiffened, clearly quite tense.

"Fine, fine... Now, keep going." He breathed calmly.

"My friend," Cassien whispered. "If you want me to let you off the loose for free, you must listen very carefully... or else I’ll kill you." He scratched his eyebrow for a moment, adjusting his posture.

"Okay, I will. Take your time."

Siv seemed less of a perverted academy student now and more like a perverted serious student... a different Cassien couldn’t really put into words.

But the best description is the simple fact, ’He’s a pervert.’

Which pretty much summed up Siv’s entire persona. Although now, he was much calmer and more relaxed, finally showing his true colors after hiding them from his own class for quite some time.

"Step two..." Cassien continued, "Never trust anyone. You said Class-1A would help you put a stop to the bullying? How do you know they’ll live up to that promise? If anything, they can get rid of you by tonight, believing your use has already been plentiful."

Aiysha stared at Cassien coldly, now intrigued. "Mind moving on to step 3?"

"I mind not," Cassien muttered. "Step number 3. Just kill. As long as you have a reason, even the smallest of them, then pull the trigger or pierce through their neck depending on what you’re using. If you only use your elemental affinities in combat, then cast without a second’s hesitation. It’s kill or be killed in this world." He leaned closer into Siv’s ear. "That’s a commandment, not a rule."

Siv shook nervously before agreeing, his gaze slowly darkening.

"And what do you expect me to do?"

Cassien laughed... "Expect? I don’t expect you to do anything."

"Huh?"

He sighed, "It’s your choice whether or not you want to free up Audrey from her hellish chains and kill those women from Class-1D. If not, I understand."

"You’re giving me a choice...?"

Cassien denied it. "Quite the contrary. There’s only one decision for you to take, don’t you think?" He whispered. "Remember all the things they’ve ever done to your beloved. All the cruelty they portrayed right before your eyes, where you just stood there, frozen in chains, not able to even take a step forward."

"Don’t you sometimes want revenge?"

"Bring the righteousness back where it should be?"

Siv nodded, "B-but," and that same hesitation appeared after he thought it through. Finally, his old self returned. "I don’t think killing is the right answer... I’m just not capable, and what if I get caught-"

"You won’t." Cassien cut him off smoothly. "I told you once, you won’t get caught. Unless someone decides to spoil the beans." He said, "It’s your choice now. But the clock’s ticking; Aiysha’s meetup with those three girls is about to occur. This is your chance."

Siv looked at Aiysha for a moment. "Meet up?"

She stared back at him, "Mhm. They believe I’m working with them to get onto Class-1A and sneak away with some of their supplies." Aiysha averted her gaze towards Cassien. "But the truth is quite simple really."

Cassien instantaneously remembered the deal they had made the day prior to the exam.

’If you let me use you this once,’ he thought, ’Then I’ll abide by anything you ask for. I’ll do anything you want.’

At the time, she agreed without a second thought. Cassien’s use would come in handy.

But then, the question arose.

"Do you really want to win this badly?" She asked.

Cassien nodded.

"Why though? You’re planning all this for what reason? What could you possibly achieve by throwing your own classmate under the bus in the first exam?"

Cassien couldn’t give her a proper answer. Aiysha didn’t understand how much changing a [Transmigration Games’] Event mattered.

So did Cassien. None of them are new. But if he could change it just this once.

Then that would be all the proof he needs that changing a character’s [Fate] is probably.

Winning on the island had now become everything.

"Because, sometimes..." Cassien whispered, "You’ve gotta pursue what makes you rise."

She just looked at him as if that answer was stolen right from the noble dictionary. But then again, she didn’t need to ask questions. Aiysha had already received anything she could’ve wanted.

"So the truth..." She continued, "Is that I’m helping you guys just this once."

"B-but," Siv stuttered, "How’d you know I was gonna be the traitor? Only I would agree to this!"

Cassien laughed because in his head this specific scenario wasn’t the original plan. He planned it out for Audrey, but having Siv do it is better. Because if something were to happen... Siv didn’t matter much to the group either way.

Cassien looked down at him. "The question remains. Do you want to kill, or watch Audrey perish slowly beyond your fingertips?"

Siv struggled to get up at first, but finally found the resolve to do so.

Cassien let him go, "You’re a man. I shouldn’t be holding you back. At the end of the day, you’re someone who should choose."

Siv turned his back, pointing the mana-infused pistol in the air, then smiled.

"I’ll kill all three."

Cassien grinned under his breath.

’I’m so sorry, Siv Kento...’ he thought, getting up from the log while Audrey watched, ’But this is going to be the beginning of your fall.’

"Lead us there, Ms.Moon," Cassien whispered. Aiysha gave him a death stare for a second.

But because she was the only person who knew what he was about to pull off.

Cassien had obviously told her earlier.

Even as an assassin, Aiysha couldn’t quite comply with it.

After all, Cassien likes thinking of many treacherous things.

Though, for one... he’s not a liar.

He’s a bastard, but not a liar.
