These Beast Husbands Are Too Hard To Tame, So I Just Give Them Cubs!

"Do you still think we should go there?" Little Black asked, skeptical.

Sunnie sighed. "If we don’t go there, how am I supposed to save my husbands?"

"...." Little Black stared at her.

"Huh? Your husbands? What?"

Sunnie explained the situation. "So I’m going there to save them."

Little Black struggled to keep his mouth closed. "If your husbands couldn’t escape the grip of these lion beastmen, what makes us different?! They’re going to eat us alive!"

Sunnie folded her arms. "We’re different. You have me, and I’m smarter." Sunnie winked at him.

But Little Black was genuinely worried now. "At this point, I should begin making preparations for my death."

Sunnie said, "Don’t worry, we’ll be fine. We just need to find a smart way through this..." She stared at the water.

Sunnie approached the water. She knelt beside it and ran her fingers through the greenish water. It wasn’t as bad as the first one she saw; it didn’t have an awfully provocative scent.

"Working on this shouldn’t be bad..." She thought.

"You’re planning on doing what now?" Little Black inquired. "That’s the main source of water for the lion tribe and they’ve claimed it as theirs. So if they even catch us taking it, we’re doomed," he explained.

"How greedy," Sunnie mumbled as she got up to her feet. "But nevertheless, we still have to get business done."

Just then, they overheard some noise coming from a distance. They looked and saw some people coming from the direction of the lion tribe.

"Quick, hide!" Little Black led the way. Him and Sunnie rushed to hide in the bushes close by. They both carefully watched as the people came to the river.

Five beast ladies approached the river with clay pots in their hands. These beast ladies were lion beasts, all having yellow lion ears and tails. They wore haggard looking brown loincloths around them, covering their chest and their waist.

These beast ladies seemed young. Sunnie could tell they were still in their late teens or young adults or something. But that didn’t matter; she observed as they hurriedly made their way to the stream and began fetching water.

These ladies seemed like they were in a hurry, fetching water while rarely speaking to one another.

"I’ve always wanted to take a bath here," one of the ladies said. "I heard it feels good doing so." The lady with brown hair sounded excited as she spoke.

"Dream on, you can’t do so!" The one with short black hair snapped her back to reality. "Have you forgotten that bathing in this stream is only reserved for the men? You’d be in trouble if you’re heard dreaming of such!"

The girl with long brown hair sighed. "That’s unfair," she pouted.

The girl with long black hair snapped, "This is not the time to speak of what’s fair or not. Let’s hurry up and get the water back before the Chief cook notices that we’re late."

"Yes," the other agreed. "The water is desperately needed for the festival tonight. We can’t waste time."

"And let’s follow the back side beneath the waterfall so we don’t have to face those guards!"

The ladies rushed and filled their pots with the water as they carried them to start leaving.

One randomly said, "I wonder what the elders are going to do with the wild beastmen they caught."

"They’ll probably sacrifice them to the Moon god tonight!" Another suggested as they hurried off with their pots.

The girl with brown hair was at the back. She had paused and stared back at the stream, watching it as though it was her lifelong desire to swim in its glory. But she sighed as she turned, running off to catch up with her peers.

They were soon gone as Sunnie came out from the woods with Little Black.

"I think the hostages they were speaking about were your husbands," he suggested, staring at Sunnie.

Sunnie nodded. "They’re sacrificing them to their moon god tonight at their festival?" Sunnie blinked. "I guess I have to step up my game to save their asses."

Little Black sighed, running his paw over his forehead. "I guess I can’t talk you out of walking into the lion’s den. Literally!"

Sunnie folded her arms. "It’s decided," she looked around. "And I have an idea," she smiled mischievously.

Little Black stared at her. He didn’t like that smile on her face and he didn’t dare ask her what she was up to.

He found out soon.

Few minutes later, the two of them had done a makeover.

They were wearing shabby looking brown lion clothes around their chest and waist. They had lion ears over their heads, their ears covered in brown wigs. And their tails were covered in the loincloths while they wore a yellow tail belonging to a lion.

Sunnie had spent some coins in her system store and they had disguised themselves as those female beast ladies they had seen earlier, both holding a clay pot in their arms.

Little Black blinked, staring down at the clothes she was in. "What the hell is this?"

Sunnie smiled. "A disguise. We’re going in there looking like lions."

"But do I have to look like a female lion though?!"

Sunnie smiled as she adjusted the pink flower she had put on Little Black’s wig. "Yes. I think you look cuter in it."

Little Black frowned in a pout. "I’m not cute!"

Sunnie smiled. "Well that’s another case for another day. Now we have to do a good job and infiltrate the place. So get your pot and let’s get some water."

Sunnie went off to fill her pot. Little Black reluctantly followed behind. And when they were done filling it up, Sunnie led the way.

The two of them made their way through the messy sand path and towards the backside that the earlier ladies had said they were following.

Sunnie figured it would be a safer option, and so they took that path to enter the lion tribe.
