Chris thought of that.

He heard Raye said.

And that’s the last thing in his memory.

He lost consciousness after that...

’He’s dead.’

I thought, looking at the burning Chris in front of me.

I didn’t take my eyes off him as undead monsters sometimes still rise from the dead.

I just stood there, watching his body burn in cinder.
