I muttered loudly enough for Charlotte to hear.

The woman said nothing. She simply remained silent before slightly lowering her head to look at her hands.

Meanwhile, Charlotte and I had stopped looking at her so we would not seem... suspicious, let’s say.

I mean, a blind man and a woman with an air of nobility; the Fallen Maiden would notice it even before entering.
