None of the other Golden Sun Sect elders had moved to follow him. Instead, they had all taken a step back.

A broken, hoarse laugh escaped his throat.

But before it could turn into anything more, it was cut short. The blood-red halberd struck him directly, turning him into a cloud of blood mist. No bones, no ashes—just gone.

"Senior Brother has already helped me far too much. I may never be able to repay you... but please accept this token. Don’t refuse—it’s the least I can do."

"Oh?"

Li Xun raised an eyebrow with interest.

Compared to investing in random people, he much preferred backing those with "main character potential." People like Ye Han... always brought pleasant surprises.
