Damian swallowed. She was offering him an out—a chance to walk away. But the way she framed it made it sound like it was a closed door.

"And the other option?" he asked quietly, already knowing the answer but needing to hear it from her.

Evelyn straightened, a glimmer of determination returning to her eyes. "You embrace what's inside you. You become what you were meant to be—a warlock.
