Slayer: I Kill All Dragons For Power

I try to rip the blade back out from his hand but he doesn’t seem to be giving up.

POW!!!

Without giving it much thought I realize I attacked him with a kick now too. It is enough to make him let go of my sword at the very least.

"Even though you are a new slayer, you got some strength," He says while wiping off his shirt.

I don’t really know what he’s talking about since I haven’t really done much since earlier. My attacks have just been damaging his scales without piercing any of his actual skin.

I’m wasting time.

DASH!!!

I run towards him once again and immediately bring my sword down towards him.

SLASH!!!! SLASH!!!!

One, Two, Three. Multiple consecutive attacks in a row with a bit more force behind each swing. This time I even can notice that one of the attacks got through the scales a little bit.

He jumps back and gets a good distance away before extending a hand up to his chest.

A surprised look appears on his face as he realizes that he is actually bleeding now.

All of my efforts to just get that much damage done against him is exhausting. I’m bleeding quite a bit myself still.

His attacks have been a lot more devastating than mine. I just need to get stronger and stronger... Until no dragon can handle fighting me anymore.

Ba-dum. Ba-dum.

I can feel my heart beating out my chest as the pain slowly makes itself known to me once again.

My grip tightens around the handle of the sword once again.

This pain is enough to push me forward. I won’t let anything stop me from killing this damn dragon today.

I rush towards him once again but this time he disappears from my shift out of nowhere.

Where the hell did he—

That thought completely stops as I feel a mix of pressure and force go right across my face.

WHAM!!!!!!

I find myself flying through the air once again, except I can really stop myself this time. My sword feels too heavy to lift up while I’m soaring.

"Another," He says.

SLAM!!!!

Pain surges into my chest as he appears directly above me... He slammed both of his fists into my damn chest.

CRASH!!!!!!

It sent me into the ground in an instant and everything around me slowly breaks apart. He has so much damn power behind his attacks that I can’t compete with.

Spit.

After spitting some blood onto the ground I look up at the sky.

I don’t know how much more fight I got left in me at this point. I’m running out of time before my body decides to just give up on me.

It is already becoming difficult to breathe from the damage he’s done to my chest.

Raven hasn’t even tried to step in once yet... Almost like she wants me to handle this entirely. But at this rate I don’t know if I’ll survive this or not.

My eyes slowly drift down towards the ground around me; Blood is piling up around me as my body starts to give up.

In the distance I hear the dragon land. He doesn’t seem intent on finishing me off just yet... Why?

After a few more moments pass I manage to force myself to stand back up. My sword is still in my hands, even after all the damage I just took from him at once.

I look around for Raven, but I don’t really see her anywhere.

I’ll find her later on when this fight is finally over. Right now I don’t really have the time to stop.

It would also help if I actually knew how to use any of this slayer strength that I have... But I don’t know a damn thing about it in the slightest.

Ugh. Just relax Kain. I can do this.

I start to slowly make my way towards the dragon as I stumble here and there. He doesn’t appear to be making any moves yet.

He actually looks even more confident about this fight if anything.

I won’t die to some smug asshole of a dragon. I’ll make sure...

My thoughts instantly begin to disappear as I start to fall towards the ground once again.

STAB!!!!

I just barely manage to stab my sword into the ground before completely falling over... So instead I’m holding myself up with the sword.

Ba-dum. Ba-dum. Ba-dum.

I can’t die yet.

I CAN’T DIE YET.

A strange sensation goes throughout my body and within seconds I can feel some strength returning to me. It is enough to help me fully stand back up with no problems.

The pain is still there but it can be ignored for the time being.

’Slayers really are interesting.’ The dragon thinks to himself.

I lift my sword out from the ground and immediately begin to charge him once more.

This time as I reach him... I don’t swing from any direction and just go for a piercing blow.

I’ll put as much strength as I need into this attack to make it work!

PIERCE!!!!

The blade breaks through the scales around his chest and I watch as I begin to drive my sword further into his chest. Blood finally starts to spill out from the dragon as he tries to grip the blade.

Die. Die. Die.

I continue to move forward while pushing the blade through until I finally get it all the way into his chest. The sword can be seen behind him now which tells me that I got it to go all the way through.

Without thinking I begin to headbutt him.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

Over and over and over again. All the pain is getting worse as I continue to do this but I can see blood starting to drip down from his face as well now.

My grip only tightens around the sword as I start to life it up.

I’ll kill this bastard.
