After leaving the beggars area, Kashif arrived in the main area.
The village bustled with eager players walking through the cobblestone streets and lively marketplaces.
Within the marketplaces, it was a common sight to see wooden signs adorned with intricate carvings that marked the entrances to shops and guild halls, inviting exploration and discovery.
To add to the lively atmosphere, NPCs, indistinguishable from their human counterparts, roamed the streets, offering quests and guidance to the fledgling adventurers.
Most of the players clad in basic armor and wielding simple weapons would have their eyes wide with wonder as they took in the sights and sounds of this virtual world.
Meanwhile, deep in the center of Sabirabad was the village square, where groups of players gathered, forming impromptu parties and exchanging tips and strategies for their next quests.
"Looking for a party of 5 to kill some Hobgoblins! Must be at least level 2!"
"Our newly formed adventure team, Killing Gods, is looking for people to join. No level requirement!"
"Recruiting level 3 and above players for the Blazing Depth Dungeon!"
Different types of players shouting for recruitment or looking to be recruited could be heard from all angles, and Kashif was not an exception to this as he was forced to listen to their shoutings.
’These players really got a lot of time in their hands. Recruiting in public is just a waste of time and only a few would be lucky enough to recruit actual good players.’ Kashif thought, finding these players in the village square ridiculous.
If there were indeed pros or skilled players, then they wouldn’t be frantically looking for a party or an adventure team here. Instead, they would improve their image and hope the famous guilds would take notice of them.
Although the game had just started, the starter village offered many features.
From the blacksmith forging weapons to the innkeeper serving hearty meals, players could also go to the Village Hall to establish their own guild.
After all, surrounding the village were dense forests filled with monsters and hidden treasures, beckoning players to venture forth and test their mettle against the dangers that lurked within.
To encourage players actively, letting them believe they have the freedom to do whatever they want was the main point of a beginner village.
Additionally, there are many tips and guides available through the channel of "NPCs" to assist clueless players.
Occasionally, there would be one or two NPCs walking toward Kashif directly and requesting him to do some quests.
In response, Kashif would put on his usual gentle smile and politely reject them, stating that he was working on a quest already. Of course, that was a big fat lie, and he had not accepted a quest at all.
Unlike most games that have experience points granted to players upon completion of a quest, there are quests in the Divine World that don’t reward them.
And most of the quests in the beginner village wouldn’t reward experience points to maintain balance and prevent others from hoarding the quests.
Thus, Kashif had zero interest in doing the quest, even if their request was to kill a few mobs.
Taking a deep breath and ignoring the crowds, Kashif slowly made his way toward the village Hall.
When Kashif arrived at the front of the two-storied Village Hall, he was met with a scene of hundreds of people, queuing up into a long line.
Regardless of which game it was, the Village Head or Village Mayor was unquestionably a target to receive Quests from. Naturally, no player would let this chance go.
"Hey newcomer, queue up if you don’t wanna cause a public outrage," from within the queue, a simple and honest looking male Warrior looked at Kashif.
The Warrior held up his hand, pointing towards the back of the line of people.
"I’m not here to receive a Quest." Kashif said indifferently as he looked at the long line in front of the Village Hall.
Compared to the other locations, this place had great order and efficiency. Although it would take more time to receive a Quest, it was much better than some who could not receive one at all.
The male Warrior cautiously looked at Kashif. Everybody was frantically trying to receive a Quest right now... but was there someone who actually said that he wasn’t interested in it? Not even a ghost would believe that!
"I’m honestly not here to receive a Quest," Kashif looked at the male warrior. Seeing the person’s hostile eyes and how he thought Kashif had wanted to jump the queue, Kashif said with a smile, "However, I advise you to receive a Quest somewhere else. You’ll just be pointlessly waiting here."
"Why would it be pointless? There were already a few people who came out after receiving a Quest." After determining that Kashif had no intention to jump the queue, the male Warrior let out a sigh of relief.
He had already been in the queue for over ten minutes now and he definitely would not want someone to cut in line. However, hearing Kashif’s firm tone made him curious as to why he would be waiting for nothing.
Kashif smiled but did not elaborate. Instead, he changed the topic saying, "Seeing as you’re not a bad person, I’ll point you towards a brighter path. Kill mobs in the fields. You’ll have a better future than remaining here."
"I’m not going. There are too many monsters in the wild and I can’t compete with those other people. This place is still better," the male Warrior shook his head.
He was not an idiot. At this moment, there were definitely tides of people out in the Field Area. With just his skills, he probably couldn’t even snatch a monster, so he was better off just waiting here.
"That’s because you went to the wrong place. If you go somewhere with few monsters, naturally, there wouldn’t be anybody to compete with you. Compared to the areas packed with both players and monsters, the leveling efficiency there is several times better. Not only that, the respawn rate of the monsters there is slow, so a single person could easily handle themselves," Kashif said with a smile.
"Is there really such a place?"
