Entering the Grand Line

"So fast!" With Neru, a highly skilled navigator, and Gray, the scientist who built the Polaris, Rhodes and his crew entered the rising canal waterway without any issues. After officially entering the watercourse, the Polaris immediately sped forward, taking them towards the top of the mountain. Feeling the sea breeze blowing by his ears and the clouds passing by, Rhodes couldn't help but feel excited.

Only after entering the Grand Line can you truly step onto the stage!

"It's at the top!" Nia screamed, and then the Polaris suddenly rushed out, hovered in the air for a moment, and fell into another channel again.

"This is the channel of the other three seas..." In mid-air, Rhodes looked around and could see that the ocean currents from all over the world were converging at the top of Reverse Mountain. If two ships from different seas happened to arrive at the top of the mountain at the same time, they would probably be destroyed, and people would die. This thought suddenly flashed through Rhodes's mind.

The Polaris sailed down the mountaintop rapidly along with the ocean current. Under the influence of the ocean current and gravity, everyone even felt a sense of weightlessness.

"Booooooooooooooooo!!" A deep voice suddenly rang in everyone's ears.

"What's that noise?"

"It should feel very far away, but it is so clear. What is making the sound?"

"It shouldn't be a Sea King..."

"It's a whale!" The voices of Rhodes and Neru sounded at the same time. Rhodes knew the plot and knew that at the entrance of the Grand Line, there was an island whale named Laboon who had been waiting for his companions. And Neru's success was purely due to his powerful Observation Haki.

"Put the sails up; we need to slow down." Everyone quickly lowered the sails, and then the Polaris slowed down under Neru's control.

"It's just a whale. We can just kill it with the main guns on the Polaris!" Gray stood at the main gun on the bow, eager to try. After the Polaris was launched, it hadn't even fired a single shot yet!

"Are you sure?" Neru looked at Gray with a strange expression.

"Of course! A mere sea beast, one shot will kill it——" Gray stopped talking and stared in amazement at the whale that appeared in his sight. It's more like an island than a whale! Just the head that was exposed above the water was like an island, completely blocking their view. With the firepower of the Polaris, a round of artillery fire would probably only scratch its skin.

"Amazing!!!" Nia's eyes lit up as she looked at the huge whale in front of her. "This is the Grand Line!" They had just entered the Grand Line when they saw huge whales they had never heard of before. It was indeed the Grand Line, full of surprises and unknowns!

"Fortunately, Neru discovered it in time and reduced the speed in advance." Law also stood up, hugging his Ghost-Cry. If it rushed down from the top of the mountain and hit the whale, the Polaris would probably be destroyed instantly.

"But why is there an island whale at the entrance to the Grand Line?"

"I don't know how many ships are destroyed every day because they hit it."

"Just like that pirate ship over there." Under Neru's control, the Polaris slowly slowed down and finally docked safely at the edge of the strait. However, the pirate group that arrived before them obviously did not have a navigator like Neru who could detect the danger in advance.

Right next to the Polaris, there was a shabby pirate ship. The bow of the ship had been smashed, the mast had been broken for some reason, and even the hull was damaged. A group of pirates was busy repairing the hull. However, the pirate ship seemed to have experienced too many storms. Even though the group tried their best to repair it, Gray could still see that the ship was beyond saving. In that condition, even if the boat could be used after repairs, it would be destroyed instantly if it encountered bigger waves.

"Let's get off the boat and rest for a while. It will take some time to record the Log Pose." Rhodes stretched and jumped off the boat first. Even though I've become a pirate now, I still prefer being on land! Feeling the solid ground beneath his feet, Rhodes felt a sense of security.

"There's nothing here, right?" After taking a look at the bare Twin Capes, Genos lay down again.

"A record of pointers? What is that?" Nia asked curiously as she followed Rhodes off the boat.

"Haven't you always longed for the Grand Line? How could you not even know this?" Rhodes looked at Nia strangely. "On the Grand Line, the magnetic field is chaotic, so ordinary pointers are invalid. If you want to move forward, you must rely on the recording pointer, the Log Pose."

"I see there seem to be a few permanent pointers over in Neru. Isn't that where you were originally planning to go?" Gray put down the ladder and ran down from the boat. The long-missed land felt particularly familiar to him.

"No, it was just stolen from the Donquixote Family and the Navy."

"What is a permanent pointer? Why do you know about it?" Nia was shocked. Even Gray knew so much about the Grand Line.

"As a scientist, I know more. It makes sense, right?"

The Mysterious Woman and a New Threat

On the other side, on the pirate ship, not far from Rhodes and his companions:

"Damn it! Why is there such a big whale here?"

"It's the Island Whale, Captain Borgman," a young woman spoke softly as a reminder. She had long, smooth black hair and wore a pair of black glasses that covered most of her face. She looked more like a corporate employee than a pirate. They were a pirate group from the West Blue. Before setting out, they were ambitious and wanted to dominate the Grand Line and become the next Pirate King. Who knew that as soon as they entered the Grand Line, their dreams would be ruined by an unusually large whale? Who would have thought that there would be an island whale blocking the entrance just down from Reverse Mountain?

"I don't care what kind of whale it is!" Borgman was almost on the verge of exploding. This was the entrance to the Grand Line, Twin Capes. Apart from an old man guarding the lighthouse, there was no other person in sight. Even if one wanted to repair the pirate ship, there was no way.

The black-haired woman didn't say much but just took a step back silently and started thinking again. Originally, I just wanted to use them to enter the Grand Line. Now that their pirate ship has been destroyed, perhaps this is an opportunity to escape. Thinking this, the black-haired woman set her sights on the pirate ship that stopped not far away. She had been busy repairing the hull just now. Now the opponent's sails had been furled. She couldn't see their flag and didn't know who they were. Can I use them to continue sailing to the next island? Joining and then leaving—this has been her norm over the years.

"Boss!" A crew member approached Borgman, and after he turned his fierce gaze over, the crew member trembled unconsciously. Then he mustered up the courage and pointed at the Polaris not far away. "Their ship is intact!"

Borgman turned his head to look at the Polaris, his eyes narrowed slightly. Noticing the change in his boss's expression, the younger brother quickly added: "I just saw that there were only a few people on their boat, and they didn't look very strong."

"Humph! Would I worry about that!" His brows relaxed, and Borgman patted his younger brother's head lightly. "I'm the Machete Borgman, with a bounty of $58 million Beli!"

"Take a few people with me; I want their boat!"
