That warmth in Li Shiyin’s smile reminded Tian Wenjin of Qin Ran—something she instinctively disliked. Yet, she didn’t resist the embrace.

"You deserve better," Li Shiyin murmured. "Or perhaps… no one is worthy of the Emotionless Sword Immortal."

In that moment, Tian Wenjin seemed to lose all her cultivation, all her battle prowess, all her hardened experience. She reverted to the naive girl she once was—innocent, proud, and fragile.
