My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

After a fresh rain in the quiet mountains, the evening air feels cool and hints at autumn. Li Xiang swings his homemade high-density chopping knife, and with one clean strike, a thick bamboo stalk snaps in half.

Then, out of nowhere, an ordinary earth viper darts out.

Calm and unfazed, Li Xiang flicks his blade. In an instant, he cuts straight through the snake’s vital point, and its head drops to the ground.

A voice echoes in his mind.

System: “Congratulations, Host. You have killed a Tier One Exotic Beast. Reward granted.”

Li Xiang freezes. “Wait… this thing is an Exotic Beast?”

He frowns, deep in thought. “Isn’t it supposed to mutate ten years from now when the Apocalypse hits and demonic energy spreads?”

He looks at the dead snake again, then shrugs slightly.

“So I just killed one before it even evolved… huh. I guess that counts as saving the world early.”
