They were curious; Boss seemed to take leaves often, and now, with studies so intense, Old Xiao had actually approved her leave.

Yun Yue arched an eyebrow; her slender, white fingers pulled the exam paper from her hands, glanced at the question, and started to write.

Gu Yue was struggling with frustration over how to handle a problem on his own paper when he caught sight of her right hand crafting lines of bold, vigorous, elegant, and flamboyant characters.

He couldn’t solve that problem either, and no one in the class did, including Lin Xuanze. There were also the final questions in physics and chemistry that were tough.

The papers had gotten increasingly difficult these days; he had heard they were the concluding questions devised by the Top Ten Schools, anticipating exam formats. Each concluding question on the papers was worth 15-20 points—if he couldn’t solve them, he might as well not go home.

So, he had spent his break and lunchtimes studying these last two days.

But those concluding questions were genuinely difficult; even racking his brain, he could only manage a part of one question, and that was half-wrong at best. The next day, it would be incomprehensible to him.

Lin Xuanze got the first one right but badly botched the general idea on the second.

In fact, he had thought of asking her, but she kept sleeping on the desk.

He remembered the day she first arrived, sleeping; he nudged her desk and ended up being shoved to the ground by her. She was too much for him to handle.

He had to swallow his frustration and continue with the other problems, waiting to ask her when she woke.

Just now, he had thought to ask, but Zhang Ziyue beat him to it, so he craned his neck to look.

She couldn’t be bothered to explain; she wrote the steps down so meticulously, anyone could understand them.

He had struggled with the problem for ages, yet in five minutes, she had written out the answer, every step detailed.

He stared at her head. Scientists said the bigger the brain, the smarter one is, but that’s false.

How could her small brain be so much more effective than his?

"Done." She placed the paper on his desk and then lay down to sleep again, finding several comfortable positions.

He reached into his desk and handed her the coat stashed inside, "Take it, it’s unworn."

This coat had been specially delivered by the housekeeper in case he got cold.

Since he wasn’t cold, he had just kept it inside his desk.

She thanked him and took his coat with her pale, cool fingers under the light, then covered herself with it.

In the principal’s office.

All the homeroom teachers of the senior year science classes as well as the math and physics teachers gathered to discuss strategies.

They had received news that Zhang Jun had set several of the math problems, essentially all the difficult ones towards the end.

He was responsible for math multiple-choice questions 11 and 12, and also the last major problem, totaling 30 points.

The physics optional problem at the end also got harder, making it tough for students to score high marks this time.
