Roland squeezed his eyes shut as a fine layer of sweat beaded on his forehead.

It felt as if countless invisible scalpels were operating inside his skull, deeply engraving that ancient and intricate Arcane Knowledge.

Along with the knowledge came a brand-new sense of Power, gathering and stirring at his fingertips, eager to be unleashed.

When the torrent of information subsided slightly, Roland slowly opened his eyes.

The world seemed subtly different to him.

The faint, previously invisible Magic Elements suspended within it now flickered in and out of view in his highly focused spiritual vision, like tiny motes of dust shimmering with different colors.

He subconsciously raised his right hand, gazing at his index finger.

Without any conscious effort, with just a slight shift in his thoughts, a wisp of imperceptible yet condensed and pure Spiritual Power gathered at his fingertip like a gentle stream.

It was no longer a chaotic Energy inside him, but a tool possessing a certain "texture" and "directionality."

He could clearly feel this Spiritual Power dancing on his fingertip, docile and full of potential.

"Elemental Imprint..."

Roland whispered the name of the Skill, and understanding dawned on him.

All his past experiences—the difficult process of Engraving Spell Patterns onto equipment, his research into Magic Theory, the long days and nights spent hammering metal before the forge...

...all that accumulated knowledge and experience seemed to click into place at this moment, fully integrated.

This wasn’t just about engraving patterns. This was about taking formless Magic Power and directly "forging" it into the structure of matter, just like forging metal, according to a specific Arcane Magic blueprint that contained its own set of Rules.

And the final magical effect was the brand-new, exceptional Attributes he personally bestowed upon the item, like a piece of enchanted metal!

An excitement and desire to explore, born from a craftsman’s instinct, ignited within him.

Familiar was the sense of control over matter and Energy; strange was that this Power originated directly from his Spirit, transcending the physical limitations of the anvil and forge.

Before Roland could fully emerge from the excitement and joy of obtaining a new Skill, another line of new, golden text appeared before his eyes.

He almost instinctively placed his palm on the cold iron anvil beside him.

These were the impurities within the metal that hadn’t been fully smelted, the microscopic stress fractures accumulated from innumerable Heavy Strikes, lurking like a spiderweb deep within its structure. Each point represented a potential vulnerability.

Roland snatched his hand back, his fingertips seeming to retain that heavy and slightly coarse "touch."

He took a deep breath, his gaze sweeping across the room.

The pig iron ingots piled in the corner were no longer just heavy blocks of metal in his eyes.

They exuded a mixed and faint magical aura.

The dominant presence was the dense weight of the Earth Element, but intermingled were restless wisps of untamable Fire Element—vestiges from the smelting process.

He casually picked up a rough, unprocessed piece of coal used for Quenching.

What he felt at his fingertips was not just roughness, but a hidden, violent, and unstable Fire Element Affinity, like a sealed core of Magma.

But this Power was firmly locked away by layers of impurities and a porous structure, making it fragile and almost impossible to guide or utilize effectively.

Amid this perception of the "whispers" of ordinary materials, Roland suddenly noticed that the Secret Silver Longsword hanging at his waist had become incredibly "loud."

He didn’t even have to touch it. Just by letting his gaze sweep over it, the weapon that had been with him for so long transmitted an incomparably clear message.

It was like a piece of pure Ice, yet it carried the lightness of the wind.

The Mithril’s own near-perfect Magic Conductivity flowed like the clearest stream, unimpeded, through every inch of the blade.

What surprised him even more was that the sword’s Elemental Affinity was not for Earth or Fire, which were common for metals, but for the extremely active Wind Element.

He could "feel" what seemed to be countless tiny, invisible channels within the blade.

The Wind Element surged and spiraled joyfully within them, bestowing the sword with a swiftness and sharpness that surpassed ordinary weapons.

This was the call of the material itself, the innate resonance between Mithril and the Wind Element.

At the same time, an extremely fine old scar on the spine of the sword, one that had been almost perfectly repaired, also appeared clearly in his Perception.

It was a mark left from a fierce battle in the past. Although it had been mended with master-level craftsmanship, it remained the weakest point of the entire sword.
