Luca’s arms tightened instinctively around Arabella.

Her body felt wrong, cold and wrong in a way that jolted him wide awake. Her clothes were soaked through, clinging to her skin, and she was shivering violently. When he pressed his palm to her forehead, the heat hit him like a shock.
