"How was the task I gave you? Did you manage to buy every sugar in town?" As soon as he was home, Lionel immediately called for the two. Fortunately, Diana informed him that the two already arrived at the estate earlier.

However, Rylan and Eiden’s reaction was something he didn’t expect at all. Instead of accepting it, the two looked at him hesitantly. They immediately knelt to the ground and lowered their heads.

The two immediately voiced their rejection over the matter. They seem perplexed at the reward, quite not understanding why Lionel was giving them that much.

Lionel could only shake his head after hearing that. Honestly, these two are way too sincere.

He knew that most people would have immediately accepted such a huge amount of gold without hesitation, yet these two looked genuinely distressed over it. For some reason, that made Lionel feel even more determined to reward them properly in the future.

Lionel cleared his throat afterward before extending the pouches toward them again.

"Anyway, still accept this money."

"Not as a reward," Lionel interrupted them quickly that made the two immediately stopped talking.

Lionel leaned slightly against the desk afterward before continuing.

"Use it for yourselves. Buy proper clothes and whatever else you need." His gaze moved between the two of them. "If I send you outside for future tasks, you need to blend in naturally with people."

The moment those words came out, realization instantly dawned on the two.

"O-Oh..." Eiden finally looked enlightened.

"That makes sense..." Rylan murmured quietly.

Lionel nodded with them.

"After buying what you need, keep the remaining money and spend it properly in the future days." His expression turned serious afterward. "I don’t want people treating my subordinates like dirt, especially when outside. Do you understand?"

"Good," Only then did Lionel finally nod in satisfaction. It seems like he need to be more creative when rewarding them next time.

This time, Rylan carefully accepted the pouch first before Eiden quickly followed after him. The two held the pouches of gold as if it was something precious.

Meanwhile, Lionel simply stood up from his chair afterward.

"Now then," he spoke calmly while fixing his sleeves. "Let’s go out."

The two looked up at him instantly. Their was clear confusion in their eyes as they looked at their lord.

"We’ll buy you proper clothes first." A faint smile appeared on Lionel’s face afterward. "Then we’ll visit the warehouse. Be my guide, okay?"

The moment those words came out, Rylan and Eiden’s eyes immediately brightened.

"Understood, my lord!"

"Let’s go, my lord!" Eiden stood up so quickly that he almost stumbled forward in excitement.

Lionel could only laugh quietly at their reaction before walking toward the door. It seemed like they were excited to show to. Him their hardwork over these past few days.

The moment the door opened, Diana, who had been patiently waiting outside the entire time, immediately straightened herself before following after Lionel naturally.

"My lord, shall I accompany you?" she asked politely.

"Stay here, Diana."

"We’re just going out for a bit," Lionel explained casually while fixing the sleeves of his clothes. "If someone asks for me, tell them I went out to have fun."

A faint amused smile appeared on Diana’s face after hearing that.

Lionel nodded at her before continuing down the hallway together with Rylan and Eiden.

The two behind him still looked visibly excited. Especially Eiden, whose expression practically screamed enthusiasm.

"We’re really going outside with Young Master..." Eiden muttered quietly to Rylan.

"Stop acting like a child," Rylan whispered back, but even he also looked slightly excited himself.

Lionel secretly found their reactions amusing.

As they continued walking through the estate hallways, several servants they passed immediately lowered their heads respectfully toward Lionel.
