All six of them had matches in the morning. Wang Jiale ended up losing, but on the other hand, Jian Dalong and the two female students were victorious. Their overall record was four wins and two losses.

This made Wang Jiale one of only two to lose their opening match. Yan Sea stood to the side, lecturing him with disappointment. He believed Wang Jiale’s mentality had been compromised. The skill gap between him and his opponent wasn’t large; he’d had opportunities to win during the match but let them slip by.

At noon, Yu Miao brought lunch for Yu Fei. He slept until one-thirty and woke up still feeling a bit weak.

The afternoon matches began at two o’clock. Yan Sea and the others were still waiting in the rest area. Seeing the listless Yu Fei, Yan Sea sneered,

"Serves you right! You’re arrogant, conceited, and you never listen to anyone’s advice. You want to make it to the main tournament in this condition? In your dreams!"

Yu Fei, slouched in his chair, replied absently.

"So what? I’m only a sophomore. It’d be normal if I *didn’t* make it to the main tournament, right?"

Yan Sea was instantly furious. He truly regretted letting Yu Fei come to this competition, for all sorts of reasons.

In reality, Yu Fei’s condition wasn’t that terrible. Every other competitor here had more raw power than him. If he wanted to win, there was only one way.

He had to play defensively and aim for a quick victory.

Wang Jiale thought to himself. When he looked up again, his expression was solemn and resolute, as if he had made a decision.

Behind them, Yan Sea retracted his Qi Blood. He saw the change in Wang Jiale’s demeanor. Yu Fei’s taunt had worked.

Seeing Wang Jiale’s change in mindset, Yu Fei crossed his arms, nudged Yan Sea, and said,

"See? Young people need a little shock treatment. Just scaring them is useless."

’What is with this guy? Does he have no shame?’ Yan Sea was incredibly annoyed.

Yu Fei had been observing her the whole time. The moment she paused, he knew she was up to something.

Everything before Yu Fei’s eyes slowed to a crawl. A faint smirk touched the girl’s lips. The toes of her right foot lifted, her left leg tensed to push off, and her right elbow began to rise.
