He frantically poured more Magical Power into the shield, his nerves stretched taut. He watched the smoke-filled surroundings for the slightest sign of movement, not daring to act rashly.

a quarter of an hour later,

the blood-red smoke gradually dissipated.

In front of them,

the area was empty.
