[Title: "These idiots, seriously ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ"]
Content: "They said you can save the End Wolf Perrin if you hit ‘Very Friendly’ on affinity ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ So I gave it a legendary affinity item, and suddenly the max affinity level is ‘Hostile.’ What the hell ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ"
- "If you can break the system limit and hit Very Friendly, you can do anything, tbh."
- "At least it doesn’t ‘hate’ you anymore, just moderately dislikes you. Cheers."
- "Legendary affinity item to Hostile rank. Absolute legend ㅋㅋ."
- "Gifting an item but affinity stays below hostile? That’s some real-world logic right there."
-[OP]: "No, seriously."
-[OP]: "Does this mean it’s useless now?!"
-[OP]: "Am I just supposed to sit back and watch while it willingly goes to the dark magicians for live experiments?"
- "What day are you on?"
-[OP]: "Day 11."
- "Oh, yeah, that’s a tough time, lol."
- "Right? I was fine with the different custom prosthetic limbs, but..."
- "That left eye, though..."
- "Oh my god ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ."
- "How could anyone forget that ㅋㅋ."
-[OP]: "What about the left eye?!"
-[OP]: "It already has reptilian skin sewn onto half its face. Is it worse than that?"
- "Do not, under any circumstances, google Perrin’s left eye."
-[OP]: "Oh, god."
-[OP]: "I’m not kidding—I threw up a little."
---
[Title: "How is this supposed to be the End Wolf ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ"]
Content: "[Photo attached] There’s not a single wolf part left on this thing ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ."
- "That’s why it’s the End Wolf."
- "Yeah, the wolf part is definitely at its end."
- "Man, that visual is tough to stomach every time."
- "Its human form was so gorgeous, though. The devs are insane."
- "Killing it and watching it momentarily revert to its human form—absolute pain."
-[OP]: "Okay, but why is it like this?"
-[OP]: "Why is it begging the dark magicians to mess up its body?!"
-[OP]: "Is this what they call that emo mentality or something?"
- "A vendetta against being born, maybe? (chuckles)"
-[OP]: "It’s literally emo. Wow."
- "It wasn’t a naturally born spirit. You can tell it’s different from others because it has a physical body."
-[OP]: "? Wait, it’s a spirit?"
- "Yeah, like half-wolf, half-spirit."
-[OP]: "Sounds like a Chinese takeout dish name."
- "Half wolf, half spirit."
-[OP]: "Wait, so that’s possible?!"
- "Of course not."
- "It was artificially created in the green tower within the Great Forest during some experiments."
-[OP]: "Unwanted child < Elite emo origin story, lol."
- "That, and..."
- "It’s half wolf and half spirit. So what do wolves and spirits think about it?"
-[OP]: "Ooh, two flavors in one."
- "They just treat it like an outcast."
- "Yeah, go to America with that nonsense, lol."
- "Unfortunately, the Great Forest is located in the south, where both wolves and spirits heavily ostracized Perrin."
- "Both its wolf mother and spirit father treated it as a monstrous abomination, so it snapped after finding out about its origins from the researchers and ran away."
- "Then the dark magicians discovered this ‘masterless S-rank spirit’ and tried to subjugate it with black magic."
- "Turns out, Perrin liked the destructive energy of black magic."
- "So it decided to destroy its body entirely as a form of revenge against its creators."
-[OP]: "Okay, I get why it hates elves, but why humans?"
- "Because they’re pure beings, unlike itself."
- "That’s why it likes artificial lifeforms like golems and magical constructs."
-[OP]: "Now I want to ask what it thinks of humans conceived through artificial insemination."
- "Are you insane?"
- "It’s a fascinating topic, though."
---
[Title: "Hey, I’m curious about Perrin"]
Content: "If it hates pure beings like elves and humans, does it like impure beings like vampires or demons?"
- "That’s actually interesting to think about."
- "Imagine elves and spirits finding out Perrin prefers demons over them. What would their reactions be?"
- "Losing their spirits to so-called inferior beings... Oof."
"So, where can I find this man named Rissir?"
"Master Didoa knows. That’s why I’m assigning her to assist you. Plus, she’ll handle the uncomfortable conversations with humans for you—for free! Could you ask for a more considerate guide? Go ahead, say thank you."
"Thank you. Now I have a connection to Rissir."
"Master Didoa, I wasn’t talking to you, I was talking to Gadena."
"..."
Gadena, who had suddenly been paired with Didoa by Meltas, waited at the entrance of the tower.
Didoa had rushed off, saying there was something she absolutely needed to bring.
Soon enough—
"What is all that?"
Seeing Didoa emerge, carrying a massive bundle of items, Gadena was taken aback.
Was she planning to set up a makeshift research lab at Rissir's place?
"Gifts."
Didoa replied with her signature expressionless face.
"Gifts?"
"I thought Rissir might be upset if I showed up empty-handed."
"..."
Gadena decided it was better not to dwell on the peculiar attachment this half-demon seemed to have for Rissir.
He simply walked ahead, leaving the burdened Didoa behind.
"Before we visit his residence, there’s a place we need to stop by."
"A stop?"
"We’ll meet with my associates there. Just so you know, one of them is of high standing. Do not act recklessly in their presence."
"Will they find my presence as a half-demon offensive?"
"They are a gracious person. As long as you don’t commit any offenses, there shouldn’t be an issue."
With that, the conversation ended.
Gadena quickened his pace, distancing himself ❖ Nоvеl𝚒ght ❖ (Exclusive on Nоvеl𝚒ght) from Didoa.
As an elf, he couldn’t help the instinctive discomfort the half-demon's tainted aura evoked in him.
"Gadena."
Yet Didoa, undeterred, picked up her pace to speak.
"Master Didoa. Let me make this clear. Your aura is unpleasant to me as a half-demon. I cannot interact with you normally. For both our sakes, I suggest you keep your distance."
"Ah, I’m fine with that. I’m used to people disliking me."
True to her word, Didoa didn’t care whether Gadena ignored her or not and continued speaking.
"Are you familiar with visiting a friend’s home?"
"I don’t understand the question."
"This will be my first time. Visiting Rissir’s place, I mean. It’s the first time in my life I’ve ever visited a friend’s home. Do you have any advice? I want to leave a good impression."
"..."
Perhaps the excitement of visiting a friend’s house for the first time overwhelmed her, as Didoa kept prattling on about Rissir this and Rissir that.
By the time Gadena resolved to either block her voice with magic or seal her lips entirely, they arrived at his research lab.
"Master Didoa, wait outside. Your aura might contaminate my workspace."
"Understood."
Without any objection or complaint, Didoa accepted being turned away at the door. Such treatment was nothing new to her.
---
A short while later, Gadena emerged from the lab with his associates.
Among them was **Rapita Yeo Royeh**, the princess of the Great Forest, draped in an elegant black robe.
Her escort, the burly knight Gondola, stood protectively by her side.
The last was **Draphon**, the master adventurer, his face marred by a deep scar.
Gondola immediately furrowed his brow upon noticing Didoa standing by the door.
"A half-demon? What is she doing here?"
"She is Master Didoa of the Grey Tower, and a mediator for Rissir."
"Rissir, the human you spoke of? A human associating with a half-demon... Are you sure this is a good idea, Gadena?"
"..."
Gadena hesitated to respond.
Although he openly discriminated against and looked down on humans, he was considered relatively progressive among elves. Living in a human city and maintaining even minimal interactions with humans was proof enough of his leniency.
Gondola, however, was different. As a high-ranking figure in the sacred Great Forest, Gondola upheld a staunchly conservative ideology.
For Gondola, elves were superior, and any association with tainted beings like half-demons was particularly offensive.
"I must say," Gondola began, barely restraining his disdain, "I still find it hard to accept. Relying on humans... Is this truly the best course of action?"
"Gondola."
Rapita’s voice silenced him.
"In front of those who are helping us, such remarks are unseemly."
"My apologies."
Rapita offered a respectful nod to Didoa.
"Master Didoa, was it? Forgive Gondola. He can be overly emotional at times."
"It’s fine. I’m used to it."
Rapita smiled in satisfaction before turning to her group.
"Now that everyone is here, shall we move on? Oh, Draphon?"
"Yes, Your Highness?"
Rapita handed Draphon an artifact, **the Azure Veil**, a sacred relic of the elves imbued with the World Tree’s divine energy.
"This cloak purifies the wearer’s aura. Please, handle it with the utmost care."
"..."
Understanding her intent, Draphon removed the Azure Veil, which he had briefly worn, and carefully placed it back into the container she provided.
By doing so, he ensured that the relic would not be unnecessarily sullied by human hands.
"Thank you."
Rapita gracefully acknowledged his thoughtfulness.
"Let’s proceed."
As they moved, Rapita kept an absolute distance from both humans and the half-demon.
---
Rapita Yeo Royeh silently lamented her situation.
"Lending the Azure Veil to a human and traveling with a half-demon... How did it come to this?"
She despised having to endure this filthy human city and the humiliating necessity of appeasing such inferior beings.
At first, her self-loathing consumed her. Now, all she could do was hope this ordeal would end soon.
If she could rescue **Perrin**, the precious half-spirit wolf, and return to the Great Forest, she would do anything.
Perrin deserved better than this. He belonged in the heart of the Great Forest, a sanctuary of purity and holiness.
---
Before she realized it, they had entered Draphon’s guild.
"This way," Draphon said, leading them to Deputy Master Duphon’s office.
The moment Rapita stepped inside, she froze.
"Perrin!"
Nothing else mattered. Not the filthy structure or the humans within. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Her gaze locked on the beloved wolf nestled in the arms of a human.
"Why is he holding Perrin?"
She felt a brief unease but quickly dismissed it. Her priority was reuniting with Perrin.
"Come here!"
Just as she reached to take Perrin from the human—
-...!
The wolf growled and snapped at her hand.
"Whoa, whoa, not food!"
The man holding Perrin—Rissir—quickly pulled the wolf away.
-...
Calm as ever, Perrin settled back into Rissir’s arms, utterly relaxed.
"..."
Rapita stood there, speechless, unable to process what had just happened.
