Silence settled over Reinysius’s words.

“......What does that mean?”

“I’ll explain from the beginning.”

Alon asked back as if he couldn’t understand, and Reinysius placed the Foot That Runs Through the Past on the desk.

Alon reorganized the explanation he had just heard inside his head.

“I did. But I could not save them.”
