Koneko pushed them open, and I immediately noticed a group of people waiting inside.

Rias sat elegantly on a couch, her demeanor calm and commanding. Beside her was Akeno, who wore a teasing smile, her aura both graceful and dangerous.

Kiba stood nearby, his hand resting lightly on the hilt of his sword. Issei, the only one I didn’t recognize as a devil right away, looked at me curiously.

Rias greeted us warmly. "Ah, hello, Shiro. Welcome, Koneko."

The others turned their attention to us.

"Rias, who’s this?" Issei asked, his tone curious but casual.

Kiba, on the other hand, seemed more cautious, his stance shifting subtly as he tightened his grip on his sword. Intrigued, I used Observe.

At this point, nothing surprises me anymore. I let out a small sigh before addressing the group. "Hi, I’m Shiro."

Rias nodded, her tone calm yet proud. "Yes, he’s the one I mentioned—the one who killed Dohnaseek."

Kiba’s sharp eyes remained locked on me. "I heard you killed him with a sword."

I nodded. "Yeah, but I caught him off guard by using magic. It wasn’t pure skill."

Issei’s jaw dropped. "Wait, you’re still human?"

"Last I checked," I replied dryly.

Kiba took a step forward, his hand loosening on his sword. "I’d like to spar with you sometime."

A small smile tugged at my lips. "I look forward to it."

Akeno’s voice broke through, her tone dripping with playful malice. "My, my, someone so strong..."

Her lips curled into a teasing smile as she licked them slightly. The sadistic gleam in her eyes made me tense, and I could feel the blood drain from my face. Just as I was about to back away, Koneko stepped in front of me, her arms outstretched in a protective stance.

"Mine," she said firmly.

Kiba blinked, looking genuinely surprised. "Well, that’s... unexpected."

Rias smiled faintly, her tone amused. "Agreed. It seems Shiro has stolen her heart."

Issei smirked, leaning in. "Oh, is there love in the air—"

Before he could finish, Koneko’s fist slammed into his stomach, cutting him off mid-sentence.

Akeno laughed softly. "It seems our little Koneko is growing up."

Koneko’s cheeks flushed at the comment, but she didn’t say a word. Instead, I reached out and gently patted her head, causing her blush to deepen. Her flustered expression brought a small smile to my face.

Rias gestured toward the couch, her voice soft yet inviting. "Would you like to sit down?"

"Sure," I replied, settling into the plush seat.

Akeno leaned forward, her signature teasing smile on full display. "Would you like some tea?"

"No, thank you," I said politely.

Her eyes sparkled with amusement. "How about some hot chocolate?"

"Yes, please," I answered a little too quickly, the excitement clear in my voice. The room fell silent for a beat before everyone broke into smiles, making my face heat up in embarrassment.

Akeno’s voice turned even more playful. "Would you like a candy bar too?"

Stars practically lit up in my eyes. "Yes!"

Koneko’s tone was quick and firm. "Only one."

I slumped slightly, pouting. "Koneko, you’re no fun..."

A short while later, I was sitting with Rias, engaged in conversation. Her demeanor remained calm yet perceptive, her crimson eyes watching me closely.

"I understand that you don’t wish to become a devil," she said, her tone respectful. "I’ll honor your decision. However, if you ever encounter anyone from the supernatural world, please inform me immediately. It could be dangerous."

I nodded. "I will. Thank you for understanding."

A faint smile curved her lips, and I could swear there was a teasing undertone in her voice as she added, "Feel free to stay here anytime with your girlfriend."

Later, I was sitting alone, sorting through my inventory. The translucent menu hovered before me as I reviewed the items I had accumulated:

Curious, I took out the Ring of Skeletons and focused on it, activating my Observe skill.

The ring was crafted from polished silver, with a striking skeleton head as its centerpiece. Two yellow gems served as the skeleton’s eyes, and an orange gem rested in its mouth. I slipped it onto the index finger of my left hand, noting how perfectly it fit.

Next, I retrieved the Ring of Bats and used Observe on it.

It exuded an aura of mystery and power. I slid it onto the index finger of my right hand, where it settled comfortably.

Admiring the craftsmanship of both rings, I flexed my fingers. These weren’t just accessories—they were tools of power.

And with them, I felt one step closer to the strength to live in this world.
