Guan Tong looked at the hundreds of Living Dead in the warehouse and immediately decided to exterminate them.

The warehouse was an enclosed space, and the Living Dead were all clustered together—a perfect scenario for his Silver Hunter.

He estimated that just three No. 3 high-explosive rounds would wipe out most of them. The rest would lose their ability to move, and he could finish them off with other methods—like kicking their heads in. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

The boots Guan Tong wore were [Multi-Terrain Marching Boots] from the Sublimation Store, so using them to eliminate the Living Dead would still count toward his final tally.

Without hesitation, he commanded his Shadow to pull the steel door wide open. He placed a flashlight on the ground to illuminate the interior, then quickly recalled the Shadow.

For every second the Shadow existed in its physical form, it consumed 1 point of Psychic Power. It was best to conserve it unless absolutely necessary.

Then, he gauged the distance and cautiously moved forward.

He wouldn’t enter the warehouse itself—that would still be dangerous. He only planned to stand near the steel door, maintaining a safe distance to eliminate them with maximum efficiency, giving them no room to counterattack.

Guan Tong walked to the steel door, positioning himself 30 meters away from the Living Dead inside. He switched the Silver Hunter to its No. 3 round mode and aimed at the center of the warehouse interior.

He pulled the trigger, and the high-explosive round shot out instantly.

BOOM!

With a deafening blast, the center of the warehouse erupted in an explosion. A huge swath of Living Dead at that spot and nearby were instantly killed!

ROAR!!!!!

The remaining Living Dead roared in unison. Guan Tong immediately fired another No. 3 round.

BOOM!

Another large group of Living Dead were sent flying, but one that was lucky enough to survive was flung toward the steel door. This brought it less than 30 meters from Guan Tong, and it immediately discovered his presence.

It seemed the Living Dead within a certain range could share senses. Once one spotted a human, the others nearby would immediately notice as well. As a result, every Living Dead in the warehouse that could still move surged toward the steel door.

Guan Tong wasn’t surprised by this. He took a few steps back, took a deep breath, and prepared to fire one more No. 3 round when the remaining Living Dead got close to the door. That would clear the area.

Even if a few stragglers were left, a couple of No. 1 rounds would be enough to take care of them. He couldn’t afford to waste any more No. 3 rounds; he had to save them in case he encountered a "Mother Transformer."

Although he still had plenty of Psychic Power left to generate temporary bullets, he wanted to complete this trial using only his pre-stocked ammunition if possible.

Just as Guan Tong was about to pull the trigger, a loud, sharp crack suddenly came from the roll-up door on the front side of the warehouse.

CRACK!

Guan Tong looked up and saw that the closed roll-up door at the front entrance of the warehouse had been destroyed. A tall, white figure was walking into the warehouse.

’Could it be a "Mother Transformer"?!’

Guan Tong immediately realized it wasn’t. As soon as the figure entered the warehouse, it was closer to the Living Dead than he was. A large number of Living Dead instantly abandoned Guan Tong outside the back door and turned toward the white figure instead!

This confirmed for Guan Tong that the newcomer was human, not a "Mother Transformer."

’This is trouble...’

Guan Tong had planned to wait for the Living Dead to gather before finishing them all with a single No. 3 round. He never expected a human to suddenly show up! And he couldn’t tell if this person was reckless or just gutsy, smashing through the front roll-up door to get in!

"Am I late?"

The white figure spoke with a soft sigh, their crisp, beautiful voice standing out starkly against the roars of the Living Dead.

Guan Tong was a little surprised to hear it, because it was clearly a woman’s voice. He had seen that the figure was quite tall and, with the dim lighting obscuring their features, had jumped to the conclusion that it was a man.

Seeing dozens of surviving Living Dead charge toward the person, Guan Tong couldn’t open fire. If he blasted them with a No. 3 round, he might hit the woman along with the Living Dead.

But in the next moment, he was amazed to find that his worries were completely unnecessary.

Faced with the surging horde of Living Dead, the white figure didn’t draw a weapon. They simply turned slightly to the side, let their arms hang low, and adopted what looked like the opening stance of some martial art.

When the fastest Living Dead reached them, the white figure executed a sharp high whip kick, sending it flying and knocking down a dozen more Living Dead behind it!

Guan Tong was stunned. ’Is that kung fu? Or some kind of ability?’

The white figure had obviously noticed Guan Tong as well. While fending off the enemies, they spoke, "If you think it’s dangerous, you should back away for now. I’ll handle these Living Dead."

Since the person said so, Guan Tong was more than happy to save some ammunition. He stood to the side and watched, noticing their movements were incredibly agile and their strikes powerful. Their hair, tied in a long, thick braid, whipped around with their movements.

The Living Dead, which would be like rabid dogs to an ordinary person, were as fragile as clay figures before her fists and feet, unable to withstand a single blow.

After finishing off the Living Dead, the woman in white walked over. As she got closer, Guan Tong was able to get a clear look at her.

Unlike other schools that recruited students widely, the Guiyun Martial Arts Hall still adhered to the traditional master-disciple teaching model, where a master would typically only take on two or three disciples.

The reason Guan Tong knew about it was because the school had been in the news before. Apparently, someone had gone to the Guiyun Martial Arts Hall to challenge them and ended up being killed on the spot... "Guan Tong?" Shi Jingyi’s lips curved into a slight smile when she heard his name. "Reverse the characters in your name and it sounds like ’to clear a level.’ I like that name. It has a great meaning in this era of the Apocalypse Rules."
