Synopsis

Saving an injured fae in the forest was never part of Islinda’s plan—especially not one who turns out to be royalty. He is Prince Valerie of the Summer Court, heir to the throne of Astaria.

Humans are wary of fae, and fae look down on humans as lesser beings. Islinda and the prince come from completely different worlds… and yet, against all odds, they fall in love.

But Prince Valerie cannot stay in the human realm forever. He has to return to his kingdom, promising he will come back for her—and Islinda believes him.

However, the one who returns is not him.

Prince Aldric is everything feared in Astaria—dark, ruthless, cold, and dangerously handsome. A fierce warrior and son of the king, he is denied the throne because of his “tainted” blood and cursed never to rule.

Twisted by rejection and starved of affection, Aldric turns to what he does best—destroying others’ happiness. He kidnaps Islinda, the woman who caught his brother’s attention, taking her from her home for his own cruel amusement. If he cannot have the throne, he will at least take something precious from his brother.

Islinda hates him. She despises him for destroying the future she could have had with Prince Valerie. Now trapped in the dangerous politics of the Astarian court, she must survive the cold, ruthless game played by the cursed prince.

But she refuses to give up hope. No matter how tempting Aldric may be, he will never get what he truly wants from her—their love. He will never have her heart.

Or will he?

“What can you offer me, little human?” He grinned slowly, cruelly. She would make a wonderful plaything.

“Please…” she begged, tears forming in her eyes. “Just let me go.”

“Fine.” He shrugged as if it meant nothing. “You can go.”

“W-what?” she whispered, barely believing him.

“Little human… you’ll learn I change my mind very easily.”

The words sounded merciful—but she could feel the threat underneath them.

But before she could think, Islinda ran. If there was even a chance he might change his mind, she would take it. She wouldn’t give up hope yet.

After a while, she glanced back—and her face went pale at what she saw.

Oh no.

She had made a terrible mistake.

This was never freedom.

It was a hunt.

And she had just become the prey.
