Synopsis

Lin Yue has always been used to being alone.

After growing up as an orphan and spending his life surrounded by people who never truly cared, he stopped expecting anything from others. At twenty-four, his days are dull and repetitive. He works night shifts, keeps his distance from everyone, and simply exists without much purpose.

Then one rainy night, everything changes.

On his way home, Lin Yue hears someone calling his name in an eerily silent hallway. Choosing to ignore the voice, he reaches his apartment—only to find that his door number has changed to 404.

The moment he steps inside, his world falls apart.

Lin Yue is dragged into the Flow, a terrifying game made up of endless horror scenarios where survival depends on following strange and constantly changing rules. One mistake means disappearing forever. Survive, and you'll only face the next nightmare.

While other players struggle, Lin Yue adapts surprisingly well. His calm personality, sharp observation skills, and emotional detachment allow him to survive situations that should be impossible.

But something isn't right.

No matter how many rules he breaks, the System never punishes him. Instead, an unknown force begins paying attention to him. The horror worlds themselves start changing around him, as if reality doesn't know how to handle his existence.

That's when he meets Gu Yanchen.

Known as the Arbiter, Gu Yanchen is feared by every player. He exists to maintain order and eliminate anything that threatens the System. Cold, ruthless, and almost inhuman, he should have erased Lin Yue the moment he became an anomaly.

But he doesn't.

Instead, he watches.

As the two become entangled, Lin Yue finds himself facing something far scarier than death—forming a connection with someone. And Gu Yanchen, who should have been nothing more than the System's executioner, begins to show emotions he was never meant to have.

For the first time, the Arbiter hesitates.

And that single hesitation is enough to shake the entire Flow. Rules begin to collapse, horror instances spiral out of control, and the System itself starts falling apart.

In a world built to erase humanity, what happens when two people refuse to let go?

"The System wants me dead. But its Arbiter refuses to let me go."
