Synopsis

Lin Chen transmigrates into a parallel world version of America and is forced to join Season 14 of a survival show called “Wild Survival.”

At first, he’s just an overlooked street food truck worker. But everything changes when he turns into something else entirely—the Wilderness Chef God.

What others see as useless or disgusting ingredients—wet moss, strange mushrooms, rotten wood—Lin Chen turns into amazing dishes.

Lichen and seaweed soup, stir-fried wild mushrooms, crispy woodworms, tender roast chicken, oven-baked duck, spicy diced rabbit, steamed egg custard, wild vegetable dumplings, pan-fried salmon… nothing is off-limits in his hands.

While other contestants struggle just to find berries and survive, Lin Chen is already eating like he’s in a five-star restaurant.

He catches salmon in freezing Alaska rivers, hunts porcupines, steals prey from wolves, and even takes down a black bear using a bow and perfect movement skills—turning survival into a one-man cooking and hunting show.

Once the show airs, it goes viral. Viewers around the world become obsessed with this mysterious young chef from a distant ancient country and start recreating his dishes at home.

“I swear, this steamed egg custard is the best egg dish I’ve ever had!”

“This Thanksgiving, we’re skipping turkey and having roast duck instead!”

The show, once struggling, suddenly climbs back to the top of the rankings and even starts a new trend of global travel cooking content.

Outside the show, Lin Chen buys a manor, farms, raises pigs, runs a YouTube channel, and occasionally pops up on the street to sell food.

When reporters ask him about his skills, he just waves it off.

“Don’t misunderstand. Not everyone from my country knows kung fu. I’m just a normal street cook.”
